The Dublin 6 Hybrid: Rollers Meet Cafe Style

We recently had the pleasure of working on a beautiful Victorian home in Dublin 6 where the goal was to honor the original sash windows while meeting the demands of modern city life. The result? A stunning combination of cafe style shutters paired with discreet roller blinds.

By installing the shutters on the lower half of the sash, we provided permanent street level privacy essential for those leafy but busy suburban roads. For the top half we tucked a sleek roller blind into the window’s upper recess. During the day the blind disappeared allowing the full architectural beauty of the sash window to shine and at night it drops down to meet the shutters providing full blackout for a perfect nights sleep.
