Offset tilt rod means you will have a tilt rod at the side of the shutter which is used to open and close the louvres. Split tilt and a mid-rail do the same job but they look a little bit different. Mid-rail is a solid piece of wood which will separate the shutter and a split tilt is an invisible way of splitting the shutter into two independent parts. They will both allow you to have one part of the shutter open and one part closed if you’d like.
