Mastering the Octagon: Bespoke Shutters for Special Shapes
We love solving complex window challenges! Recently, we installed a stunning special-shaped wooden shutter in a unique setting: an octagon window in Kildare. The project presented a few specific technical considerations: The window itself was a non-opening, sealed unit. The surrounding recess or alcove was constructed entirely of plasterboard. To successfully “conquer” this, our team engineered a bespoke solution, installing a full special-shaped wooden shutter with elegant 63mm louvres. The chosen Aspen colour provides a clean, contemporary finish that perfectly complements the room while drawing attention to the beautiful geometry of the octagon frame. This installation proves that even non-standard windows with challenging frame materials can achieve a perfect, custom-fitted finish that is both beautiful and structurally sound.
